Where Foundations Are Built
With purpose, patience, and joy.
Elementary school is where learning becomes its own reward. Children arrive curious and leave capable, growing steadily through years of reading, writing, thinking, and discovering. Our classrooms are small enough for every child to be known and challenged. The foundations built here carry through every year that follows.
Curriculum Overview
The Elementary School program is organized into four tiers. Every student at Elpis studies all of the following.
Core Subjects — English, Reading, Mathematics, Science, Heritage Studies (or Social Studies in the early grades), Spelling, Handwriting, and Worldview & Ethics. These run every year across all five grades, with content that grows in depth and demand year after year.
Myanmar Studies (MOE Required) — Myanmar language, geography, and history (မြန်မာစာ၊ မြန်မာ့ပထဝီ၊ မြန်မာသမိုင်း) are studied every year by all students as a required part of the Elpis program, in accordance with Ministry of Education registration.
Additional Subjects — Art, Music, Physical Education, and Basic Computer (introduced in the upper Elementary years). Students encounter these throughout the week alongside the core program.
Language Electives — Chinese, available based on enrollment.
By the time a student completes Grade 5 at Elpis, they leave the Elementary program ready for the move into Middle School — confident readers, capable writers, sound mathematicians, and young people whose values are taking real shape.

What Comes Next
Students who complete Grade 5 at Elpis move into Middle School (Grades 6–8) ready for the next stage — confident readers, capable writers, sound mathematicians, and young people whose values and habits are taking real shape. Middle School at Elpis is where students step into the disciplined, subject-based program that will carry them through to graduation.
